Curriculum

Future discussions
Of the phenomenon that was us
Will require the full curriculum
It will be the sole subject encompassing
Arts, Language and Sciences

English

Supposedly our first language
Though we are both Northumbrians
The planning alone will take months
(They make have to create a postgrad)

The words which flew over broadband
Danced across our mobile phones
Thirty or forty a day
Scribbled on postcards
Pinioned in notebooks
Etched onto bus stops
Scrawled onto mizpahs
On bullets, Screamed in our grief
Drawn on the body
With the body
As paint
They still haunt the corners
Of the houses we lived in
The cars we travelled in
The poems we wrote

Chemistry

What happened in the bar
Was just the start
Everyone noticed
The space around us
Later, you waited for me
I hugged you, said
"How are you so tall?"
I unwrapped briefly for you
Linked your arm down the road
Only we didnt, did we?
Chemistry as you held me
Chemistry as I bent into yoga poses
Chemistry over a green salad
Chemistry in our kisses
Your touch, my sighs
The ingredients too potent
Volatile at times
Magesium bright and sulphur rotten
Till you lit the bunsen
And blasted us clean

Biology

Inevitability incarnate
She lies sleeping in our memories
Baptised by tears
Her sister smiles by day
Curls to me at night
